Something is about to happen.

Can you feel it? There is this certain, unexplainable electricity in the air. God is about to do something HUGE in Wilmington! Don’t get me wrong, He is currently doing some crazy stuff at Lifepoint, like bringing 350 people last week. But, I have this feeling something is on the verge of exploding. Even typing those words just made my stomach flip and gave me goose bumps! And, the coolest thing is all of our staff are experiencing the same feelings!

If tonight is like the past 2 weeks, I will constantly toss and turn all night wondering what is taking so long for my alarm to go off at 5:30 am. It does kind of suck that the alarm is on Kristen’s side of the bed, but she unconsciously slaps the off button because there is no need for the snooze button for me on Sunday mornings! Then, as soon as I pull out of the driveway, I get those butterflies in my stomach, kind of like the ones you get on the way to your first date…for those of you who have actually been on a date. Finally, after everything is setup and people are filling in the lobby, I look at the empty chairs and wonder, “God, who’s life are you going to totally wreck and eternally change today? What can I do to point people to YOU?”

Can you feel it? Are you getting a mental picture? Words can’t accurately describe what I’m feeling right now, but can you imagine it? Have you ever experienced a feeling like this? If so, please leave a comment and let me know about it!

Something is definitely about to happen, so stay tuned for what’s to come!

i’m excited about your new blog and getting a glimpse of your heart…and definitely stoked about the eternal rumblings going on deep inside people- i feel God is tugging on people’s hearts big time and it blows my mind to hear about the life-change in people coming through those middle school doors, the way Jesus is making his name famous. my hope is that we fulfill his mission as faithfully and passionately as we can, and even more- loving as many people as we can along the way.

I thought I was having those same feelings but it turned out to be some serious gas. Apparently all this salad has really been tearing me up! Just Joking!

Great post Dave. I’m excited to have you on board. It’s good to see you blogging. See you in the morning.

Dave, to say that I am thrilled by your addition to the Lifepoint staff would be understatement to the inth degree! I am grateful that God has led you to minister here! I have sort of taken as my own ministry, the task of keeping our team encouraged, so I guess you might call me a part of the Lifepoint cheerleading team. Thanks for answering this call! If I can do anything to help, let me know. Meanwhile you can count on my prayer support! Rah Rah Rah! G-o-o-o-o-o Dave!!!

Why is it that I’m always the last to know things? So, like, when did your blog finally start working? I think I’m getting an inferiority complex.

You might as well get used to the feeling (that something big is happening) cause it is going to become a regular for you!
